We are considered the most obese and overweight country in Sub-Saharan Africa with almost 70% of women and 39% of men being obese or overweight. Obesity related diseases like diabetes, heart disease and stroke are among the Top 10 causes of death in the country, accounting for almost 43% of deaths.
